Guild Wars anime would be incredibly ironic, as Guild Wars prides itself on its realistic graphics, as opposed to the cartoony style used in games like WoW.

I don't see guild wars being an anime...but I do not particularly enjoy anime myself.
I fell in love with the graphics for their realism =\.

This game isn't anime style at all. Not even the story could be made into a half-decent anime.

I believe most anime involves something more emotional outside of fighting...
Guild wars is nothing but fighting imo.

Yeah, Guild Wars is more of an action movie, if anything, rather than an anime.

@ALICE:
Avatar: The Last Airbender was made by Americans. And you're saying only Japanese can do it right?
@Zinger314:
You're joking, right? Look up Ergo Proxy. It's an anime with realistic art. Don't you think that you're being extraordinarily provincial by just assuming that all anime has bad art?
@Ichabod:
That's just as provincial as Zinger's comment. The only difference between an anime and an action movie is the medium used to produce it. AKA, drawings versus actors.
@mr_groovy
Just shut up right now. You've just cursed the entire idea. In fact, now I'm against making it just because you said that, even though the idea seemed cool at first.

As long as it has a different setting than tyria, I wouldn't mind a guild wars style game with anime graphics. BTW, are we talking about DQ8 style graphics or something a little closer to what we have now; suikoden style graphics for example.

This is Elona not Tyria, if we have something like this anime style...
, ...
then it would rock.

Hmm let me think .......
Tentacles from the boss monster. Para para as back ground music.
Over the top explosions, while nuking.
New emotes: /peacesign /thumpupok sign.
Noodles as new consumables.
Do you want me to continue

thank you for making me laugh.
Ok there are some real nice anime that dont have the freakish WoW look. Some are very realistic. So for that part signed. I think this might also make it easier for those of us who want to see a GW movie. No one worth a shit is cast for a game movie 90% of the time. With Anime we would only have to listen to voices. Which are provided in cinematics (yay) So if you wanted to see a movie based on GW I think anime is the way to go. There are so many other story lines besides the main as well so there are spin offs and shorts that could be done. Maybe GW could be a series like Avatar and the like.

I'd love to see someone do a feasibility study... like you'd do if you were going to pitch this idea to both the GW execs and production companies.
Kynareth Adeus, how about you since you've got an opinion about everyone's stand on this prior to your post? Care to back it up with stats? You also appear to have an appreciation for anime.

Some animes that fall into "realistic" style.
Blood The Last Vampire
Ergo proxy as mentioned
Anime is not neccesarily unrealistic or cartoony.
Guild Wars' own rendered characters fit this style well.

Ah the ever spreading taint of that god awful drawing style. As with anything else, I'd abandon GW if it officially attached itself to anything with the stench of anime about it.
